The 100 year old Grandhotel is in the centre of Stary Smokovec. Recently renovated it still retains the style of one of the most prestigious hotels in Slovakia. It is a five minute walk from the station. The large rooms all have TV, radio and mini-bar en suite bathroom mostly with a bath. Many rooms have a balcony. Dinner and breakfast are taken in the grand dining room. Dinner is three courses and breakfast is a buffet with some hot dishes. There is an impressive indoor swimming pool, saunas, whirlpool and fitness room.
