The Hotel Tigaiga  is a 4* hotel located in beautiful tranquil Taoro Park above the main town of Puerto de la Cruz. This setting,  with the spacious gardens of the hotel, gives you the feeling of staying in the countryside yet you are a fifteen minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride from the centre of the town. The hotel has always been owned by the Talg family since it opened in 1959 and is now managed by the third generation who are continuing the family philosophy of fulfilling the needs and expectations of guests. You will be greeted with a glass of sherry or other refreshment to revive you after your journey. 

The rooms are all carpeted and  equipped with a mini bar, colour satellite television, and a safe. There is a direct dial telephone. Each room has a superb bathroom with hairdryer, bathrobes, scales and a bath with shower. There is a choice of Taoro view (morning sun) or for a small supplement  (£4 person per night) Mt Teide (afternoon sun) view.

Meals in the elegant restaurant are certainly something to look forward to. Breakfast is an extensive buffet offering both hot and cold options. In the evening a 5 course waiter served dinner awaits you. The cuisine always has a Spanish influence with a choice of a vegetarian option for each course. The food is complemented by an extensive Spanish wine list. Please note jacket and tie is advised in the winter for dinner.

The hotel has a heated swimming pool, with spectacular views over Puerto and the ocean and in the extensive subtropical gardens there are over 200 species of catalogued plants and more palm trees than the hotel has beds. You will also find a tennis court and can play both table tennis and chess outdoors.
