Holiday Accommodation Details

Costa da Morte trek

Your hotels have been carefully selected to be friendly, welcoming and comfortable. They are of varying grades and styles in good seaside locations convenient to the Costa da Morte.   All rooms have private bathrooms.

These are the hotels that we most frequently use for this trek. We may use others depending on availability.

Nights 1 & 2: Laxe

Your hotel is located centrally and very conveniently on the seafront with most rooms viewing the beautiful sea. A bar and lounge area on the ground floor provide opportunity to relax and chat with other hotel guests. Breakfast is taken in a sunny breakfast room with good views of the harbour. The staff speak mostly good English and are very helpful with maps and guides to help you get the most from your stay, and with recommendations for evening dining in the town. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TV, phone, air conditioning, safe and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath and hairdryer.

Nights 3 & 4: Camarinas

Your hotel is located very centrally and overlooks the harbour and marina. The interior of the hotel and the rooms are very ‘rustic nautical’ in style, with lots of wood panelling and stone tiling used throughout. Elevators serve the upper floor and an excellent restaurant allows you to dine here both at breakfast and dinner. Although breakfast is very ‘low key’, the extensive (multilingual) menu for evening meals ensures that dining in will be your preferred option. An excellent wine list gives you opportunity to sample the local specialities. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TV, phone and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath and hairdryer.

Night 5: Muxia

Your hotel is located very centrally and just off the main street. Best described as a modern ‘boutique’ style hotel, the accommodation is very tastefully decorated in a ‘nautical’ theme in-keeping with the overall ambience of the town. Although quite ‘bijou’ in size, the bedrooms have all the facilities you need to ensure a comfortable stay. Although Muxia has several options for dining out, the restaurant in your hotel boasts a good menu offering a wide selection of fish and seafood, together with an extensive selection of wines. Staff are very helpful, and a decking area outside the front of the hotel provides somewhere to sit and savour your drinks from the bar. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TV, phone and private bathroom with WC, shower/bath and hairdryer.

Night 6: Lires

The Casa Jesus is made up of the main house with comfortable guest rooms and a dining area, and small log cabins located in the grounds.  Both are comfortable and well furnished.  If staying in one of the cabins, breakfast is brought to your room in the morning as there is a small kitchenette and dining table. Dinner is all home cooking style and very good. Within the grounds there are sun chairs and a small pool for warm days.  The owner ‘mama’ is very enthusiastic about providing for her guests, but speaks only a few words of English.  She is often assisted by her daughter who speaks English well. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TV, phone and private bathroom with WC and shower/bath.

Night 7: Fisterra

Located within a natural setting, this lovely hotel is a short walk from the beach and also has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool within spacious gardens. The hotel has a communal lounge with a fireplace and library. Most rooms have views over the Ocean; you can also request a massage (additional cost). All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TV, phone and private bathroom with WC and shower/bath.
