Andalucia Hotel to Hotel Trek

We have chosen hotels for their intimacy and charm. They are all small family-run hotels that are very much part of the village community and each has its own character. From Mairena, a beautifully converted village house (parts of which date back centuries) to Bubion, you will find a delightful combination of rustic charm and modern conveniences. All rooms have their own bath or shower (depending on the hotel) and English is widely spoken. Dinner is included every night and you will have the chance to savour the best of Andalucian cuisine.

These are the hotels that we most frequently use for this trek. We may use others depending on availability.

Nights 1 & 2 - Mairena

A delightfully restored whitewashed village house located in Mairena, a small village in the eastern Alpujarras, benefiting from far-reaching views in all directions. Owned by a young English couple who are both keen walkers and have lived in the area for a number of years. The 9 rooms have wooden windows and doors, and are painted in the traditional blue-grey colour of the region. There is a terrace from which you can admire the views and a small swimming pool open in the summer.
