Holiday Accommodation Details

Spain - Canary Islands El Hierro - Hotel to Hotel trek

Photo of the accommodation

As the island is undeveloped for mass tourism, accommodation in the villages along this trek is limited in places and varies from small village pensions to 4-star hotels, but all are comfortable and well positioned for the trek route. Each accommodation will provide rooms with private bathroom (some with shower only) and dinner and breakfast are served on all nights. Some of the meals may be taken in nearby restaurants or bars.   A Picnic can be purchased from the hotel or restaurant for a supplement if requested the previous night, but for most locations there is a supermarket nearby.

These are the hotels that we most frequently use for this trek. We may use others depending on availability.

Here you stay in a clean and simple hotel on the main street. At an adjoining bar you will enjoy an excellent breakfast.  Evening meal is taken at a nearby restaurant arranged by the hotel.

The hotel in Mocanal is both calm and welcoming. Most of the 15 good, well-equipped rooms have views to the north coast. The comfortable lounge has free wi-fi and there is a swimming pool in season. Dinner is taken in a restaurant owned by the hotel owner across the road.

This is a Parador, a little luxury at the end of the trek. This super hotel has views of dramatic land and seascapes. Most of the 45 rooms have a great sea view, all have a telephone, satellite television and safe. There is an excellent seasonal swimming pool and a sauna/Turkish/hydrotherapy suite.
