TRIP DESCRIPTION

Steeped in myths and history, the Peloponnese region echoes ancient legends of heroes like Hercules and gods who once roamed its lands. The famous Spartans also trace their ancestry to the Peloponnese. Divided from the Greek Mainland by the awe-inspiring Corinth Canal, the Peloponnese's three arms stretch out, with the central one forming the Mani peninsula. Mani's interior is hilly and rugged, while its coasts bear the mark of nature's artistry, with Mount Taygetus towering over. This region is a picturesque amalgamation of mountains and history, adorned with remnants of the diverse civilisations that once thrived here.

Begin in historic Kardamili, where cobbled streets wind through ancient ruins and lovely tavernas sharing local tales. Explore Outer Mani's untouched paths once walked by Spartans. Follow the ancient route to Sotirianika, descending into the dramatic Koskaraka Gorge and passing through olive orchards to elegant In this captivating landscape, you'll discover the joy of hill walking. The air is laden with the delightful aroma of sage and thyme, from the enchanting town of Kyparissia to the slopes of Mount Taygetus. And when it comes to local flavours, Peloponnese is a true culinary delight. The region is renowned for its wines, particularly the celebrated red Agiorgitiko and the crisp white Mantineia, both unique to this area. Additionally, Peloponnese takes pride in being the home of Corinthian raisins, adding a sweet touch to its culinary selection. And of course, we can't forget Sfela, the regional cheese. Like feta but with a harder texture, Sfela embodies the rich heritage of Greek cheese-making, providing a taste of the region's unique gastronomic traditions.

When it comes to accommodation, expect nothing less than traditional authenticity. Our hand-picked hotels are carefully chosen to immerse you in the genuine essence of Greek hospitality. These establishments offer more than just a place to stay; they are a gateway to the Peloponnese simple way of life.
