Photo of the accommodation

You will stay in an interesting variety of Andalucian accommodation comprising a restored townhouse with roof garden, Casas Rurales and a delightful apartment set around a lush courtyard. Each overnight stay will include a room with private bathroom.

We have personally stayed in or visited all of our accommodations. They have all been selected for their great locations, friendly atmosphere and traditional hospitality, as well as the warm welcome they offer to walkers. Below is a summary of our usual accommodations*.

Night 1: Aracena

Your first accommodation is a delightful restored townhouse artistically designed to offer traditional Andalucian style in a modern way. Rooms are comfortable with superb bathrooms; restaurant and bar/bistro for dining and rooftop garden and seasonal pool for relaxing.

Night 2: Fuenteheridos

We love this Casa Rural set close to the church of Fuenteheridos. The owner ensures his guests are comfortable by providing a lounge with books, comfy rooms and a good breakfast to help yourself to in the morning. Dinner can be taken in a village bar or restaurant.

Night 3: Galaroza

Tonight, you will stay in a hotel with garden and seasonal pool located on the edge of Galaroza. It too has just been renovated and offers individually designed rooms with plenty of colour and light as well a as conservatory style restaurant much favoured by locals and walkers.

Night 4: Almonaster

Your own apartment is set by a garden courtyard and close to the end of today’s walk. With bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and living area and an open fire for chilly evenings, it’s quiet and relaxing. Breakfast is taken in a nearby bar and dinner in a superb Andalucian restaurant.

Night 5: Santa Ana la Real

After a short host transfer, you arrive in the spectacular, open location of this ‘Complejo’, a blend of hotel and small bungalows, restaurant and pool. The comfortable lounge/bar serves all day and dining is often outside on the terrace overlooking the twinkling lights of the Sierra.

Night 6: Alajar

A very beautiful Casa Rural awaits you and a blend of Spanish and English charm provide accommodation of great comfort and appeal. Rooms have a private terrace as well as the pool and rose gardens; country house style lounge and fireplace for chilly days and dining overlooking the hills beyond. Cuisine is all home produced and truly delicious! (Extra night recommended)

Night 7: Aracena

For the final night you may return to the familiarity of your first accommodation or, for an extra special ending to your trek, upgrade to stay in Aracena’s beautiful Convent dating from 16th Century. Restored and immaculately designed to mould modernity around its architectural features, it’s a place of beauty and tranquility with fine dining and excellent service.

We can arrange an add-on stay in Seville in a gorgeously historical merchant house close to the Cathedral and Alcazar - just ask when booking!

*Alternate Accommodation

We will always endeavour to use the accommodations detailed above. Occasionally, due to limited availability or refurbishments, we may have to accommodate you into alternative accommodations which are not listed in the above description. If those listed are unavailable, the alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard than those described.
