The hotels are small and family-run.  All rooms have private bathroom, mostly with showers. You will be assured of dinner with local specialities and buffet-style continental breakfasts.

These are the hotels that we most frequently use for this trek. We may use others depending on availability. 

Night 1 – Argelès Gazost**

This family run hotel, 5 minutes from the town centre, has 33 bedrooms which are sound proofed and equipped with a television, a telephone and a hairdryer. There is a garden and outdoor spa-jacuzzi and comfortable restaurant. There is a buffet breakfast.

Night 2 – Pierrefitte***

This magnificent hotel built in 1903 required 5 years of work to restore it to its full glory. The 21 bedrooms are equipped with a minibar, television and telephone. You will be served meals in the stylish restaurant and there is also billiard room.

Night 3 and 4 – Luz Saint Sauveur***

A pleasant family run hotel, subject to a major renovation in 2006, lies on the edge of town with 42 bedrooms. Evening meal and buffet breakfast are served in the spacious restaurant. There is also a comfortable bar area with outside terrace and a small garden.

Night  5 – Gedre **

In the centre of the village the hotel, which has been in the same family for three generations, has excellent views from most of the bedrooms which are equipped with TV, telephone and hairdryer. There is a lift, a restaurant, a small lounge area and a bar used by the locals.   

Night 6 and 7 – Gavarnie**

Situated in the Pyrenees National Park and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cirque de Gavarnie this charming hotel has 20 bedrooms equipped with TV, telephone and hairdryer. The restaurant and separate bar are attractively decorated.
