Val di Fassa trek

All accommodation is in 3 star category hotels apart from the two nights where you stay in rifugios. All of the hotels have rooms with private bathrooms while the rifugios have shared bathroom facilties.  All accommodation has dinner and breakfast included on all nights.

These are the hotels that we most frequently use for this trek. We may use others depending on availability.


Night 1 – Passo di Costalunga ***

This hotel looks every bit what you would expect from one in the Alps. The rooms are over two floors and are equipped with a television, a telephone and a hairdryer and also a balcony. There is a comfortable restaurant where you will be given a choose of meals. There is a buffet breakfast.

Nights 2 & 7 – Vigo di Fassa ***Superior

Located just below the main village centre you are assured a warm welcome by Elena and her family. All of the hotels 30 rooms have a balcony with views of the Dolomites. They also have a safe, television and telephone. You will be served meals in the spacious restaurant. WiFi is available.

Nights 3 & 4 – Alba

A pleasant family run hotel, the rooms and furnishings have been chosen to reflect the local Ladinish style. The rooms have a hair dryer; telephone, TV, safety deposit box and a balcony (in most rooms). Evening meal and buffet breakfast are served in the restaurant which serves many local Ladin dishes.

Nights 5 – Rifugio Sasso Piatto

Located at 2,300m this refuge offers views over a wide area of the Dolomites. This very smart rifugio offers most things which you would expect from a hotel. The private bedrooms in which you will be staying have ensuite bathrooms. Dinner and breakfast are taken in the restaurant section of the rifugio.

Night 6 – Rifugio Vajolet

While the rooms are communal you will receive an entire room to yourselves. The shower and bathroom facilities are shared with other guests. Dinner and breakfast are taken in the restaurant.
